Wifi changed?

If you have changed your wifi or system has gone offline here is some useful information on how to get it back online.

  • If the inverter is disconnected from Wi-Fi:

  • Press the “Enter” button on the inverter display.

  • Navigate to SETUP Wi-Fi Access Point and enable it.

  • Use a phone or laptop to connect to the Wi-Fi network "Fronius_XXXXX" (password: 12345678).

  • Open a browser and go to 192.168.250.181.

  • Log in - use the login details that the installer has given to you.

  • Go to Network Settings - Wi-Fi and select your home network.

  • Enter your Wi-Fi password and save the settings.

  • Reconnect to Solar.web

  • Open Fronius Solar.web.

  • Log in with your account.

  • Go to Settings - Components and check if your inverter is listed.

  • If it's offline, click Reconnect or Add New Component.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to re-register.

  • If you have a new router installed, please ensure that the router is set to 2.4GHz and not 5.0GHz.

  • The Fronius inverter will only communicate with 2.4GHz.

  • If the inverter is still not connected:

  • Restart the Inverter (yes, sometimes a simple reboot is all it needs)

  • Turn off the inverter using the shutdown procedure

  • Wait 5 minutes and turn it back on in the opposite order to your shutdown procedure.

  • Check if the connection is restored.

  • Check for Firmware Updates

  • If issues persist, update the inverter firmware via Solar.web.

  • Please call us if you have any problems with this and we can help you.

  • When you are OFFLINE your solar is still working. It is the reporting via solar web

  • that we need to reconnect.
